AS Roma set to make an offer for Smalling 'in the coming days'

- Smalling is impressing on loan at Roma.
- The Serie A outfit want to make his transfer permanent.
- While the two sides are yet to agree on a fee, a bid is imminent.
AS Roma appear to be relentless in their intent to make Chris Smalling's loan spell permanent ahead of the January transfer window.
According to Italian outlet Il Romanista, the Serie A side are set to make an improved offer to United 'in the coming days'.
The Red Devils are reportedly demanding £15 million for the centre-back but Roma were previously willing to pay only £12 million.

Smalling has established himself as key player in the Italian capital after being deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The 30-year-old even captained Roma last week in a 3-0 win against Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir in the Europa League.
