Hi and welcome to Turf Moor where United face Burnley in a Premier League clash.
United XI: De Gea, Lindelof, Pogba, Sanchez, Lukaku, Smalling, Lingard, Shaw, Valencia, Fellaini, Matic.
Burnley XI: Hart, Taylor, Cork, Tarkowski, Mee, Wood, Hendrick, Westwood, Lennon, Bardsley, McNeil.
Even though the season is just getting started, United have to get the win here after following two consecutive losses. The teams at the top have not dropped any points, compared to United's six.
Burnley have been a tricky opponent for United, who have not been able to win both fixtures against the Clarets in any of the last four seasons when the teams met in top flight.
It's been a tough start to the season for Burnley, who have only gotten one point out of the first three games and crashed out of the Europa League midweek.
United, who are debuting their knew pink away kits today, are missing Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones, Diogo Dalot and Sergio Romero.
For Sean Dyche, the absentees are Robbie Brady, Johann Gudmundsson, Steven Defour and Nick Pope.
The first attempt of the day as Lingard fires just wide despite being surrounded by three men! That was close!
United get inside the box early, this is a good sign.
Shaw dances around Lennon and shoots, good save by Hart.
A long ball towards Alexis is just ahead of the Chilean as Hart claims it.
Lingard tries to flick the ball past Hart to convert on Valencia's low cross, it goes off Mee but the goalkeeper stays with the change of direction and parries it away.
Another Lingard curler goes wide… He's so far the best man in pink on the pitch.
Lingard's out-swinging ball-in is caught by Hart.
Lennon and Shaw engaged in a clash of heads, the ref rules that the United left-back was the guilty party.
Burnley have been much better in the last several minutes, testing United's struggling defence.
Sanchez is booked for a foul on Bardsley just outside the box. A great chance for the Clarets.
United are still very good in transition, posing questions for Sean Dyche's men.
Burnley, to their credit, do not sit back, pressing with two or three men.
GOOOAAAL!!! Sanchez' cross is perfect for Lukaku's looping header, no chance for Hart! Both him and Mee were caught in no man's land there.
United continue to dominate possession, looking to stifle any thought of quick response.
Shaw and Valencia have been a real threat so far. Great form for both of them.
Shaw's cross-turned-shot is saved by Hart.
Lukaku is through but doesn't have much room as Hart comes out to deny him! Another wasted chance for the Belgian!
Shaw's cross from the left is headed away by Mee. United just keep on imposing their will on the left flank.
A smart pass from Lukaku towards Sanchez is just too hard for the recipient.
GOOOAAAL!!! A long passing sequence in the box results in Lingard's shot that got blocked but Lukaku pounces on the rebound! Another poor play from Mee who was the only one not to attempt to catch the striker using the offside trap.
One minute added on.
Half-time! United lead by two. For a classic Jose Mourinho side that is enough to cruise to victory.
We're back underway!
A calm start to the second half, just what Mourinho would've asked for I guess.
De Gea comfortably claims a cross from the left flank.
McNeil trips up Lingard and gets his name written in the book.
United begin to apply the pressure on the hosts again.
This is one of the more adventurous United sides under Mourinho. Both Valencia and Shaw are pretty much wing-backs right now.
Rashford replaces Sanchez, who put in a hardoworking shift and assisted on the first goal but looks unhappy as he is still chasing a goal of his own.
Wood overpowers Smalling and heads the ball goalwards but there was not much power behind that one and De Gea saves rather easily.
Lukaku finds wide-open Shaw on the flank who cuts in and fires, good save by Hart.
Penalty given! After Lingard's attempt at a bicycle shot failed, Lennon's feet get tangled up with Rashford's and the ref points to the spot!
Hart makes the save!!! That looked like it was going in! The replay shows that it was a poor shot from Pogba.
Now Bardsley and Rashford clash after the whistle.
Rashford sent off for head-butting as a result!!! That's a rather soft call. Bardsley gets booked, though he could've been given walking orders just as easily.
Lukaku beats Mee easily but Hart makes yet another big save!!!
Shaw booked for a foul on Lennon as the Clarets look re-energised after the recent events.
Lukaku is then booked for a retaliatory foul on Bardsley behind the play.
Vokes' close-range header misses… One of Burnley's best chances of the day.
Jose Mourinho is throwing his agitator on the pitch as Herrera replaces Lingard.
A long ball springs Lukaku through on goal, he beats Hart but Mee recovers to deny the striker!!! Lukaku looks at the ref but there's no call!
Lukaku was oh so close to a hat trick there… Maybe he was caught overthinking the whole thing and should've just gone for goal.
Barnes replaces McNeil.
Barnes' header is saved by De Gea.
At the other end, Pogba's mind-blowing first touch is nullified by a poor finish.
Vydra comes on. He replaces Wood.
Lukaku again tried to fight his way past Mee and it looked like it was a blatant handball but it's missed by Moss.
Lukaku is, in a matter of fact, about three times as fast as Mee, who has all the pace and elegance of a 19th-century railroad car.
Burnley continue their somewhat tamed offensive.
Four minutes added on.
Mourinho makes his last sub as Bailly replaces Pogba.
Herrera's effort is saved by Hart.
That's it! United get their first clean sheet of the season as they beat Burnley at Turf Moor!
