Bournemouth have accepted a very lucrative offer for the 25-year-old centre-back.
- Nathan Ake has signed a five-year deal with Manchester City, the club's official website confirms.
- It's understood that the Dutch defender, who came up through the ranks at Chelsea, joins from Bournemouth in exchange for £41m.
- The West London club had the right to match City's bid thanks to the 'matching option' included in the deal that saw Ake leaving Chelsea for the Cherries back in 2017.
- However, as per The Athletic, Chelsea do not consider Ake as a player who'd fit the profile of a centre-back they're looking for.
- In particular, the scouting analysis showed that Ake was not as strong at defending set-pieces, something Chelsea already have troubles with.
- Pep Guardiola has different demands for his centre-backs, and the 25-year-old fits his requirements quite well.
