- The iconic forward is desperate to get back to the Premier League after suffering relegation with Watford.
- Troy insists he can still cut it for the top tier as he scored more than highly-valued Sebastien Haller and Joelinton.
"I definitely still see myself as a Premier League striker," Watford captain Troy Deeney told The Sun. "I scored double figures last season on one leg.
"How many did Haller get last year for West Ham? 6 or 7. Or Joelinton for Newcastle? 2. These are £40m players and I only cost £300,000. My time’s not up."
The veteran striker scored 10 in 27 PL games last term. However, his good form in front of the goal did not help his side survive.
Sebastien Haller was on target 7 times in 32 games, including a brace against Watford. The Frenchman has not justified his £45m price tag yet.
The same applies to Newcastle record signing Joelinton, who cost the Toffees £40m and returned a meager 2 goals in 38 Prem appearances last season.
