When asked about whether Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Youssoufa Moukoko is among the best teenage stars in world football, Mats Hummels told Sport Bild: “He's already really good.
“I played with Toni Kroos, Mario Götze and Christian Pulisic when they were 16 or 17, and Youssoufa is definitely one of the best players I've played with at that age.”
Having played with both Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund in his career, Hummels has played with some world-class players in his career. So him lauding Moukoko with such high praise proves how exceptionally talented the 16-year-old really is.
Moukoko became the youngest goal-scorer in Bundesliga history when he scored for Dortmund against Union Berlin at the age of 16 years and 28 days earlier this season.
