  • Rangers manager was furious with the ref after he failed to award a penalty for a foul on Morelos.
  • Gerrard approached the ref at HT and was sent to the stands as a result of a falling out.
  • However, Stevie insisted the penalty should have been given in his post-game presser.

Stevie G is inches away from sealing Rangers' first title since promotion - and in ending Celtic's dominance in the process - but can now watch the next game from the stands after he was sent off by the ref during the won over Livingston.

Gerrard was furious with the ref's failure to award a penalty on striker Alfredo Morelos and approached the official at the break.

"I know why you won't speak to me, because you're f*cking bang wrong," Gerrard said. "You're bang out of order."

The manager continued ripping into officials after the match too.

"It's 100 per cent a penalty. I'm someone who wants to support officials as much as I can because I realise how hard the job is," he told Sky Sports.

"I'll go with one of the officials making a mistake, a genuine mistake -- but I can't have three making the same mistake.

"John Beaton's looking at it clearly, the linesman's looking at it clearly and the fourth official's looking at it clearly. I've got the worse view out of everyone and I can see it clearly.

"I'll go with one mistake and I'll keep trying to do everything I can to support officials but I can't have it when three make the same mistake. It's bang out of order."

Rangers are 18 points clear of second-placed Celtic and will seal the title in the next game - should Celtic drop points and Gerrard's side get another win. However, the title is a matter of 'when' not 'if' at this point - hopefully there aren't repercussions for Gerrard, so he's not in the stands when Rangers end Celtic's dominance.
