Diogo Jota scored a first-half brace for Portugal against Serbia and was crucial to earning a 2-2 draw for his side.

His international teammates Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes both have Man United connections, a fact that was not lost on former Liverpool defender Jose Enrique.

So Enrique took a hilarious jab at the two players on social media following the draw between the two teams on Saturday.

He captioned a picture of Jota's celebration saying, "BREAKING NEWS: Jota is injured

"Jota has sustained a back injury after carrying Penaldo and Penandes."

While fans loved the dig, they weren't too happy with the joke implying that Jota might be injured. Here are some reactions from the comments.

brizla_81: "Don't do that Jose lol, my heart stopped."

ali_ahmed028: "Bit disrespectful to Ronaldo but funny as hell lmfao."

omar_jne: "Bro this should be illegal, this is attempted murder."

Jose Mourinho suspects he has rats among Tottenham players, launches a 'hunt' for traitors

Jose Mourinho is on the hunt for moles inside his Spurs squad, according to the Daily Mail.

He believes some squad members leaked negative stories to the press last month - reports stated, among other things, that players find his training session 'boring and predictable'.

The Portuguese described his methods as 'second to none in the world' following Spurs defeat to West Ham.

However, we smell desperation here: towards the end of his second spell at Chelsea, back in 2015, Mourinho also called out 'rats' among his players. Perhaps his time at Spurs is drawing to a close too.

'It will never change'. Cristiano explains why he furiously left the pitch before final whistle vs. Serbia

Cristiano Ronaldo responded to criticism of his behaviour against Serbia over social media, saying, "To become the captain of the Portuguese NT is one of the biggest privileges of my life.

"I give and will give everything for my country and that'll never change. There are moments that are hard to deal with, especially when we feel that a whole nation is being hurt.

"We will lift our heads up and face the next challenge now. Come on, Portugal!"

The game against Serbia ended as a 2-2 draw after Ronaldo thought he had won the game for his country but the ball was deemed to have not crossed the line from his shot.

This is what led to his outburst for which Cristiano Ronaldo received a yellow card. Portugal play next on Wednesday, March 31 against Luxembourg.
