Ajax youngster produces 'worst penalty in football history' – he kicked the ball out of the stadium

Ajax youngster Brian Brobbey had a day to forget as he produced an incredibly poor penalty for Jong Ajax in their 0-1 loss to Almere City.

In the 39th minute of the game, Brobbey got the chance to put his side ahead with a penalty.

He looked confident with his run-up to the strike, but horribly scuffed his shot when trying to bury the penalty into the back of the net.

Brobbey completely miss-hit his attempt, seemingly hitting with his toe-nails to power the ball above the goalpost and out of the stadium!

The Yanmar Stadion is a relatively small ground but the Dutch forward’s strike was so powerful that the ball flew above the rafters to the outside.

That bizarre penalty miss ultimately cost Jong Ajax as Almere City scored a late winner from John Yeboah to win the game.

Details of Lionel Messi's alleged 'extra long' new contract with Barcelona have been revealed

Lionel Messi is reportedly set to be offered a bumper new contract at Barcelona, according to multiple sources and confirmed by Spanish television TV3.

The new deal will see Messi contracted to Barcelona for the next 10 years. It will transcend Leo's playing days.

However, the Barca captain will earn around half of his mammoth €124m wages yearly. Leo's staggering wage bill was revealed by L'Equippe earlier this year.

Messi's new deal will allow him to move to the MLS on loan and later return to the club in some non-playing role if he wishes.

Barcelona are desperate to cut cost with a €1bn debt looming large over the Catalans.

Still, Messi's 10-year-deal at half his current salary will mean he'd eventually earn the same amount in the long run.

Barcelona have less than nine weeks to get Messi to pen a new contract or lose him for free.

When Leo gets angry: What happened between Lionel Messi and Brazil coach Tite

Sometimes one gesture is enough to cause a real stir. Especially if the one making that gesture is Leo Messi.

Back in 2019, when Argentina faced Brazil in a friendly, the legendary forward looked to the touchline and put his fingers to the lips.

Brazil coach Tite later opened up on the issue.

"I complained because he [Messi] should have been shown a yellow card and he told me to shut my mouth and I told him to shut his mouth. And that was it," as per The National.

"I don't want to answer anymore on it. You need a strong referee because he'll swallow you… It should have been a card, I was right to complain," he added.

Argentina won that game, Messi scoring the only goal of the night.
