Fabrizio Romano tweets Jorge Mendes’ quote about Cristiano’s future ‘career plans’

Cristiano Ronaldo's future is going to be quite a big topic this summer after Juventus lost the Serie A title for the first time in a decade. They might even miss out on the Champions League, and this would certainly make the 36-year-old consider his options.

One of those could be Sporting Lisbon, with his mother particularly keen to see her son back at the club where his career began in 1997.

However, Ronaldo's agent Jorgen Mendes has ruled out such a possibility, as reported by top-tier transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano:

“Cristiano Ronaldo is not coming back to Sporting. He’s proud of the title won but at the moment, his career plans do not go through Portugal,” Mendes said.
