Gianluigi Buffon has completed an astonishing return to Serie B side Parma – 26 years after making his professional debut for the Italian side.
He has signed a 2-year deal with the club and will aim to help them get promoted into Serie A next season.
Buffon is a product of Parma’s youth academy and spent 4 years with their youth side before making his official debut in 1995.
In 2001, he left the club to join Juventus – with whom he enjoyed a memorable career that spanned nearly 20 years across two separate stints.
The 43-year-old is still going strong despite his age and will hope to enjoy some success with his childhood club before contemplating retirement.
