Everton has confirmed that they have suspended a first-team star who is being investigated by the police for child sexual abuse offences.
In an official statement, the club confirmed: “Everton can confirm it has suspended a First-Team player pending a police investigation.
“The Club will continue to support the authorities with their inquiries and will not be making any further statement at this time.”
As per reports, a 31-year-old Premier League star was arrested after police had discovered his history of sexually abusing children.
Right now, Everton only has two 31-year-old players in Gylfi Sigurdsson and Fabian Delph in their first-team squad.
