Tottenham Hotspur will be handing a hefty fine to Giovani Lo Celso, Cristian Romero, and Davinson Sanchez for playing in red-list countries during the International break.
The two Argentine stars reportedly falsified information to play for Argentina vs Brazil on Sunday before the game was suspended after Brazilian health authorities invaded the pitch to try and deport Lo Celso, Romero, Emiliano Buendia and Emiliano Martinez.
Sanchez also featured in Colombia’s 1-1 draw against Paraguay on Sunday even though Spurs did not permit it.
The Premier League clubs had agreed not to release any players in red-list countries for the international break, but eventually many players broke that rule.
