FIFA also confirmed that players will not be allowed to play for two teams during the tournament, though they could play for three teams in the same season due to the timing of the event.
The tournament has drawn criticism due to the intense schedule. Real Madrid could play up to 71 matches this season, and other top clubs may face similar demands. This has raised concerns about player fatigue and the impact on their performance.
