The French defender had an open conversation with head coach Paulo Fonseca on Saturday after training. This discussion is said to have been a crucial factor in Theo's potential inclusion in the starting XI for the Serie A clash against Roma.
Hernandez had been benched for the past two games due to the coach’s decision.
Fonseca on Hernandez's situation: “He needs to get back in shape. We talked, and he knows he can do much more.
"We’ve worked together in recent days, and I have a very positive outlook on Theo,” Fonseca stated during the pre-match press conference.
