Real Madrid have identified William Saliba as their main defensive target for the summer, according to RMC Sport. The Arsenal centre-back, 23, has impressed with his performances, attracting interest from the Spanish club.
Journalist Fabrice Hawkins reports that Saliba is "Real Madrid's absolute priority" for their defence. The club see him as a key signing to strengthen their backline ahead of next season.
Arsenal are unlikely to let Saliba leave easily. RMC Sport claim the club will demand a massive fee to block the move, making negotiations difficult.
Madrid are expected to explore their options, but Saliba remains their top choice. The Frenchman has been a key player for Arsenal and is under a long-term contract.
