Yaya Toure weighs in on Drogba vs. Salah debate
8 February, 09:34
Former Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has entered the debate over who is the greatest African footballer of all time, firmly backing his compatriot Didier Drogba over Mohamed Salah.
Toure, who played alongside Drogba for the Ivory Coast national team, expressed his admiration for the Chelsea legend, saying, "I love Drogba. What a player!"
The former Man City midfielder also felt that Drogba was unfairly overlooked for the Ballon d'Or award during his playing career.
"I think people have been unfair at some point, I think he deserved to win the Ballon d'Or as well," Toure said.
When asked to choose between Drogba and Salah, Toure didn't hesitate, saying, "Drogba, definitely."
