Fati won't play for the rest of the season - reports
At Barcelona, everything was done to convince Ansu Fati to leave, but he remained steadfast in his decision. There was significant interest in the Spaniard during the winter transfer window – many clubs were keen to take him on loan.
Despite pleas from the Blaugrana management to consider the offers, Fati firmly decided that he would not depart. According to Sport, the player was informed that if he stayed, he wouldn’t play a single minute until the end of the season – but that did not deter him.
Agent Jorge Mendes also failed to persuade the 22-year-old forward to change his mind.
Fati has only made eight appearances this season. Since the start of the year, Hans-Dieter Flick has fielded him just once – in the Cup match against Barbastro on January 4.
