Postecoglou on Tottenham's exit from the FA Cup
Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou responded to journalists following their 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa in the FA Cup.
The home side progressed to the next round thanks to goals from Jacob Ramsey and Morgan Rogers, scored in the 1st and 64th minutes, while Spurs managed only a precise strike from Mathys Tel in stoppage time.
"Of course, we are disappointed with our exit. The start was not our best – it's the last thing we wanted. We gave it our all to regain control of the game. With a 1-0 lead, we had the chance to come back, but we did not capitalise on it.
"In the second half, we were more ourselves, but after the second goal, everything became even more difficult. We stayed in the game and continued to threaten the opposition's goal; unfortunately, that was not enough," Postecoglou said.
