According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are making significant progress in talks to get Ethan Nwaneri to sign a new long-term deal.
Just last year, he signed his first professional contract with the Gunners.
The new deal is likely to be signed after Nwaneri turns 18 years old in March. At that moment, he will be able to sign a contract for more than three years.
Nwaneri has become a fixture of the first team this season, making 14 Premier League appearances. He is set for an even bigger role, with most of Arsenal's senior forwards out injured.
