Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Warren Bondo resume individual training ahead of Verona clash
Having put European disappointment behind them – after a 1-0 defeat in Rotterdam in the first leg of the Champions League playoffs – Milan are now refocusing on the Serie A campaign, with their mission to continue their march towards 4th place and a Champions League qualification spot next season.
Sergio Conceicao’s side will face Verona with the aim of securing all three points. Already today, following their return from the Dutch away trip, the Milan squad began initial training sessions at Milanello in preparation for the home clash against Verona.
There were expectations regarding the fitness of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and the new signing, Warren Bondo, who arrived from Monza in the January window. Both players undertook personalised work on the pitch today. The two midfielders, whose recovery is on track, are expected to return alongside the rest of the squad as early as tomorrow’s session, with the possibility of at least featuring as substitutes in the match against Verona.
