Pavoletti: 'Survival would be like winning a title. A regret? The little time I had in Cagliari'

Cagliari striker Leonardo Pavoletti has spoken on Radio Serie A, reflecting on his career and sharing several anecdotes.
"I used to laugh at being compared to CR7 for my heading - coming from nothing, I never took anything for granted and always fought to prove myself against great champions. After each match, I return to my simple self, believing that the person comes before the player.
"I owe a lot to Gasperini. Initially, he didn’t consider me, but when Borriello got injured, he gave me my break, and from that moment, I earned more trust and playing time - even though we narrowly missed out on a Europa League spot." Pavoletti said.
