'We could've played a lot better': Andy Robertson delivers verdict on Everton draw

"The ending isn't great from all parties," Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson said about the Everton draw.

"When you come here you know what to expect and that got heightened a bit with it being the last derby here. We knew what we were coming into and for a large part we dealt with it fairly well.

"Don't get me wrong, we could have played a lot better football but we were right up for the fight. We won a lot of balls in the air which is good, and that's what we had to do.

"When you are winning in the 96th minute you want to see the game out, but we probably didn't get enough bodies back when they'd committed centre-backs into the box. It's an unbelievable finish from James to put it into the net, but it's a frustration from our point of view and we also believe there was a foul (by Everton striker Beto on Ibrahima Konate) in the build-up. But we just have to move on from it."

Liverpool were on course to win the last Merseyside derby at Goodison Park until they conceded an equaliser in the 98th minute.
