Polish manager Jan Urban: If I were Vinicius Jr, I wouldn't leave for a billion euros
Vinicius Jr is attracting major interest from Saudi Pro League teams and he could even receive a €1bn salary offer to move to the country in the summer.
Former Osasuna manager Jan Urban was recently asked if he’d accept that kind of money to leave Real Madrid if he was in Vinicius’ shoes, and told AS: “No, not at all. At 24 years old and an essential player in a legendary team, his priority should be to continue playing at the highest level in Europe.
“I wouldn't do it, not even for that exorbitant amount. Besides, he already has a big salary at Real Madrid.”
Real Madrid are reportedly looking to give Vinicius Jr a new contract with a salary hike to ensure he isn’t swayed by Saudi Arabia’s offers.
The 24-year-old has been enjoying a prolific 2024/25 season with Real Madrid, with 16 goals and 12 assists in 30 games.
