Chelsea are looking to secure a permanent move for Raheem Sterling this summer, as the club aims to avoid a cycle of loan deals, according to The Athletic.

The Blues believe that regularly loaning out the winger would not be beneficial for his career and are focused on finding a long-term solution.

While there are no plans for Chelsea to pay off Sterling’s contract, they acknowledge that his high wages could complicate any potential transfer. However, the club remains hopeful of working with his representatives to secure a move, with options in both European football and other leagues, including Saudi Arabia, being explored.

Last summer, Chelsea sanctioned a late loan move for Sterling to Arsenal, but this time they are looking to resolve his future earlier in the transfer window.

Transfermarkt currently value Raheem at €22 million.

Sterling has scored 1 goal and provided 4 assists in 23 matches for Arsenal this season. See detailed stats here.
