Claudio Ranieri: 'We hope Dybala's injury is not serious'
In the post-match interview following Roma's 1-0 win over Cagliari, head coach Claudio Ranieri has spoken to DAZN about several key topics.
On Dovbyk, Ranieri said, "He's a young player who needs affection and understanding. The team and I are supporting him. An attacker lives for goals, but I told him performance is just as important. He needs to show willpower and fight for the team, even if he makes mistakes. I'm happy for him, as it was crucial for him to get off the mark."
Regarding the psychological challenge after the Bilbao defeat, Ranieri added, "I asked the players to bounce back. The crowd believes in us, and we need to show commitment, grit, and sacrifice. The league is tough, and we must take it game by game."
Ranieri also praised Svilar’s decisive contribution in goal and shared his concern over Dybala's injury: "Dybala felt a pull, but we hope it’s not serious. We’ll know more after tomorrow’s scans."
On Roma's current position, Ranieri reflected, "When I arrived, I didn’t think about anything but working hard. The fans now support us, and we must continue like this because the road ahead will be tough."
Finally, Ranieri acknowledged the difficulty of the season, saying, "Every game is tough, and with the final stretch ahead, we’ll keep working hard. We must approach every match with determination."
