Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has given his first impressions on the match at the Metropolitano against Atletico Madrid that ended 4-2. "When the result ends like today, it’s hard not to be happy… (laughs)."

On Ferran’s performance, Flick said, "The players who come off the bench always do well, and Ferran is one of those who gives 100%, like all the substitutes, and does so in every training session. But this is the case with everyone who isn’t starting. We will do our best until the end."

On the importance of the win, he added, "This is a long road. It was about time to win after three matches against Atletico. The reaction after their second goal was incredible. We are happy." He also expressed his pride in his team, stating, "I’m happy and proud of the players. You can see their mentality. They never threw in the towel. It’s been incredible. I’m very proud of them, but it’s also what you see in training. You play like you train. The players did well. Right now, we have confidence in how we need to play, and when we make a mistake, we know what to do next."

When asked if this victory is a crucial step for the title, he said, "It’s three big points, but it’s a long journey. We’re at the top of the table, but we have to keep going." Flick was also asked about Lamine's goal, commenting, "He had a great match and scored a goal. He gives us energy in one-on-one situations. He trains well and has the quality to score goals like that."

Finally, on the importance of the 2-1 goal and the upcoming break, Flick mentioned, "There was a moment of discussion with the referee because there could have been a handball, but I think we reacted well, and it brought us back into the game. What we achieved is very important. The break is good for everyone."
