Lamine Yamal: 'Beating Atlético is a statement. We’re top of the table with a game in hand'
Lamine Yamal has spoken after celebrating in the dressing room following Barcelona's 4-2 win against Atletico Madrid.
"I'm happy with the victory and getting the three points," said the winger.
Yamal continued, "We celebrated in the dressing room, spending some time together before heading off to the national team."
Reflecting on the match, he admitted, "There was frustration and helplessness, seeing how we weren’t comfortable. We let out everything we had inside. Lewandowski’s goal was key for the comeback."
When asked about his performance, Yamal added, "I was sure I’d score in important games."
On his goal, he explained, "I saw Gallagher moving away from me when the ball was coming, so I took the shot."
Yamal concluded, "Beating Atletico is a statement. We’re top of the table with a game in hand."
