Wojciech Szczesny has shared his thoughts on Lamine Yamal and the frequent comparisons with Lionel Messi. He dismissed the idea that the two players are alike.
"Do I see similarities between Messi and Lamine Yamal? No, they are completely different players, and there’s no reason to compare them," Szczesny said.
He praised Lamine’s ability on the ball but made it clear that it’s not fair to measure him against Messi. "I don’t see Lamine scoring 50 goals a season like Messi, but he’s incredibly dangerous in one-on-one situations."
Szczesny highlighted the young winger’s intelligence on the pitch. "His best trait is his understanding of the game and delivering key passes at the perfect time," he said.
