Antonio Candreva has retired from football at the age of 38.

Candreva's career spanned nearly two decades, during which he played for several prominent Italian clubs, including Lazio, Inter Milan, Sampdoria, and Salernitana.

He began his professional journey with Ternana in 2004, later joining Udinese, where he made significant contributions over multiple seasons. His tenure at Lazio was particularly successful, culminating in a Coppa Italia victory in his first season.

On the international stage, Candreva earned 54 caps for the Italian national team between 2009 and 2018, scoring seven goals.

In July 2024, Candreva parted ways with Salernitana and had since remained without a club. Despite interest from various teams, he has chosen to conclude his playing career.
