Hansi Flick gives 5 days rest to Barcelona players, Inaki Pena reportedly shows up for training
Hansi Flick gave a five-day rest to the Barcelona players who weren't called up by their countries for March's international break.
Players like Szczesny, Iñaki Peña, Eric Garcia, Ansu Fati, Balde, Gavi, and Pau Victor will have time to be with their families for a mini holiday before returning to training next week.
However, Iñaki Peña asked permission to train individually in the club's facilities, per Mundo Deportivo.
Pena has lost his place in the team to Szczesny but apparently, he isn't giving up just yet. The Spanish goalkeeper remains ready to step in if anything were to happen to Szczesny.
Meanwhile, Pau Cubarsí, Pedri González, Dani Olmo, Lamine Yamal, and Ferran Torres (Spain); Gerard Martín, Fermín López, and Pablo Torre (Under-21); Héctor Fort (Under-19); Frenkie de Jong (Netherlands); Robert Lewandowski (Poland); Jules Koundé (France); Raphinha (Brazil); and Ronald Araujo (Uruguay) all received international call-ups in March.
