Didier Deschamps: 'We won Nations League with sense of duty fulfilled, so it’s one of our goals'
19 March, 19:44
France head coach Didier Deschamps has shared his expectations ahead of the Nations League quarter-final first leg against Croatia, set for March 20.
"This tournament is very important. We won it with a sense of duty fulfilled, so it’s one of our goal to win it again. The focus is clear - do everything possible to reach the Final Four in June.
"Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele have played together a lot, they’re very effective, and other players can support them. It’d be great if they maintained that efficiency. But we don’t put Ousmane and Kylian above the rest. Other players can also make a difference.
"We can’t give Croatia too many chances. Two big matches await us," Deschamps said.
