Milan and Inter have put forward a proposal to purchase land at San Siro to build a new stadium, reports Football-Italia.

The plan, which first emerged back in 2018, involves the two clubs building a new arena on the site of the current car park before demolishing the existing stadium. The Milan sides explored other options but have been forced to revert to their original blueprint.

Milan and Inter have tabled a €197 million bid to acquire the land surrounding San Siro and are now awaiting approval from local authorities. The deal needs to be greenlit by June 30, 2025, to allow the transaction to be finalised by July 31, 2025. If that doesn’t happen, the agreement will fall through.
