Manchester United wonderkid Chido Obi has achieved another milestone in his breakthrough season, making his debut for Denmark's Under-21 side in a friendly match against Poland.

The 17-year-old striker came off the bench for the final 15 minutes of the 3-3 draw, played in Turkey, and will hope for more minutes or even a first start when Denmark face Italy on Monday.

Obi's rapid rise has seen him break into Manchester United's first-team picture, making four appearances off the bench for Ruben Amorim's side.

He has also impressed at academy level, scoring seven goals in three FA Youth Cup games and five in six for United's Under-18s.

United's manager, Ruben Amorim, has praised Obi's talent and potential, saying: "He's a player with talent... He wants the ball, something the strikers have and he has."

Obi's debut for Denmark's Under-21s could be a precursor to featuring in the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in Slovakia this summer.
