Hojlund scores just 8 minutes after coming on for Denmark against Portugal
Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund scored for Denmark against Portugal just minutes after coming off the bench.
Hojlund netted the opening goal in the 78th minute after his United teammate Christian Eriksen had missed a penalty.
The goal is a welcome boost for Hojlund, who has struggled to live up to expectations since his £72m move to United in the summer of 2023.
The 22-year-old had recently ended a 21-game goal drought, and his strike against Portugal marks his third goal involvement in as many games for club and country.
Hojlund's form has been a concern for United head coach Ruben Amorim, who is reportedly set to sign a new big-money striker this summer.
However, Hojlund's recent performances suggest he may still have a role to play at Old Trafford.
