In the UEFA Nations League quarter-finals, the German national team pulled off an incredible 2-1 away victory against Italy. Joshua Kimmich played a key role with an outstanding performance, providing two assists.
Speaking in the mixed zone after the win, the Bayern Munich star reflected on the match: "I’m chuffed with the victory and our performance. We made a few tweaks in the second half, mainly to get more bodies in the box. We noticed the Italians were letting us have the ball near their penalty area, so we flooded the box and got more crosses in.
"Tim Kleindienst and Leon Goretzka did a cracking job. Luckily, my crosses came off today. I’m buzzing for Leon and the whole team that we got the win," Kimmich added.
