Leicester is first team in Premier League to lose seven home matches without scoring single goal

21 March, 06:11

Leicester are enduring a challenging season in the Premier League and, as it stands, remain stuck in the relegation zone. Their latest defeat came at the hands of Manchester United, who dispatched them 0-3 at home - a result that further darkened their outlook in the competition.

With this loss, Leicester City have etched their name into Premier League history as the first team to lose seven consecutive home matches without scoring a single goal. It’s a grim record for the side managed by Ruud van Nistelrooy, who hasn’t tasted victory since their last trip to Tottenham in London back in January, where they edged out a 1-2 win.

Leicester will have a chance to turn things around in their next home fixture against Newcastle. However, it won’t be an easy task, as their opponents currently sit sixth in the Premier League table and are battling to secure a spot in European competitions for next season.
