Germany defeated Italy 2-1 away from home in the first leg of the Nations League quarter-finals.
Arsenal and Italy's defender Riccardo Calafiori slipped during a late moment in stoppage time of the second half and landed awkwardly on his knee. After the match, he was in pain.
"As for Calafiori, we don’t know yet. He felt something odd in his knee, but he can’t pinpoint what it is," said head coach Luciano Spalletti when commenting on the player’s condition.
