SPORT reports that FC Barcelona contacted its season ticket holders at Montjuïc on Thursday to offer an extension of their memberships until the end of the season. While not officially announced, the club is effectively ruling out a return to Spotify Camp Nou this season. However, they confirmed that the team’s stay at Montjuïc will not extend beyond May.

The club clarified that there are no plans to extend the lease of the Olímpic Lluís Companys stadium for next season. Talks with BSM have focused on when the stadium's temporary setup can be dismantled. The stadium lease has been extended until May 20.

Work on the new Spotify Camp Nou is progressing well, with over 40,000 seats already installed. Grass placement is expected by late April, and the structure of the third tier is also under construction. The city of Barcelona has authorized extended working hours, allowing work to continue 24 hours a day on certain days from March 25 to April 7.

As for the return to Spotify Camp Nou, the club is still waiting for the final approval from the city's fire department, which cannot be granted until a full safety inspection is completed after the stadium's final licensing.

Although there was hope for a return in May, the club now targets September for the completion of the works, as the necessary construction progress will be achieved. Barcelona has even requested to play the first three league games of the next season away to allow more time for adjustments.
