Barcelona forward Ferran Torres, one of the two Valencians in the national team alongside Grimaldo, has shared his thoughts ahead of Spain's Nations League match against the Netherlands.

When asked about his desire to play and score, he replied: "I hope to play, score, and qualify. It would be the perfect night, especially at home."

Torres addressed his critics, saying: "We all know who’s behind the gossip."

Regarding the significance of the match after recent tragedies, he stated: "It’s so important to bring some joy to the kids, help them disconnect, and let them enjoy football. We really hope to give them something to smile about."

On Mestalla, he added: "We hope Mestalla will be like our 12th player and give us the push we need to qualify. It’s a historic stadium, and it’s always been there for us."

Reflecting on Spain's unbeaten streak, Torres said: "We haven’t lost in 22 or 23 matches, and it motivates us to keep pushing forward."

When asked about his position on the field, he mentioned: "I feel more comfortable as a striker, but I’m happy to play as a winger too."

On Lamine Yamal and Gavi’s return, Torres commented: "Lamine plays with such confidence, like he’s out there having fun. As for Gavi, he’s had a tough injury, but he’ll get back to his best in time."

Torres, with 21 goals in 48 games, shared how he feels: "I value myself first, and then the coaches' trust comes second."

Finally, on his “shark mentality,” he said: "Tough moments will come, but you can't let them get to you. Sometimes there are injustices, but the key is to keep working hard, and success will follow."
