Juventus to part ways with Motta, Tudor set to take over as new head coach - Fabrizio Romano
Fabrizio Romano reports that Juventus are planning to part ways with current manager Thiago Motta due to a series of disappointing performances, including heavy defeats to Fiorentina and Atalanta.
Former Juventus defender Igor Tudor is considered a leading candidate to assume the role of head coach if Motta is dismissed before the season's end.
Implementing such a managerial change is estimated to cost Juventus at least €15m, covering severance packages for Motta and his staff, excluding potential expenses related to Tudor's potential hiring. Juventus currently sit fifth in Serie A, one point behind Bologna, with the objective of qualifying for the Champions League.
Tudor has already agreed to become the new head coach on a contract until June, with an option to extend until 2026. The agreement signals a significant shift in leadership for Juventus as they look to stabilize their position and push for Champions League qualification.
