Pepe named honorary member of Pena Ramon Mendoza at 37th anniversary celebration
Real Madrid legendary defender Pepe was honored as an honorary member of the Pena Ramon Mendoza in Alcala de Henares during its 37th anniversary celebration.
The event, attended by 570 people at the Salones Foguet in Meco, featured speeches from honorary co-presidents Sanchis and Raul, both former Real Madrid legends. Raul, currently managing Real Madrid's Castilla team, praised the team's excellent season, highlighting player Raul Asencio's call-up to the national team as a significant achievement. Pepe expressed his gratitude for the warm reception, stating it was an honor to experience the Madridismo spirit among the fans.
Throughout his illustrious career, Pepe made 334 appearances for Real Madrid over a decade, securing numerous titles, including three UEFA Champions League trophies.
He also played a pivotal role in Portugal's national team, contributing to their victory in the 2016 UEFA European Championship and the 2019 UEFA Nations League. Pepe's legacy is marked by his formidable defensive skills, leadership qualities, and significant contributions to both club and country.
