Netherlands manager Ronald Koeman has shared his satisfaction with his return to Valencia ahead of Nations League match against Spain and praised the national team’s efforts. “Spain is slightly more favored as the match is at home, but it will be a tough, competitive game. Both teams respect each other, and it will be a great match,” he said.

Koeman reflected on his decision to bring Pedri into the team at just 18, praising the midfielder’s talent and personality. "I knew after two training sessions that Pedri could go far. I hope injuries are behind him so he can continue improving."

On Lamine, Koeman avoided singling him out, acknowledging his talent but stressing team effort to contain him. “You can’t stop a player like that completely. He can change a game, but our players are also very good,” he said.

Regarding Nico Williams, Koeman dismissed any issues, stating, "There’s no problem with him. He’s a great player and a good person. He apologized, and that’s that."

Koeman also expressed confidence in the future of Huijsen, who chose Spain over the Netherlands. “He has a bright future. He’s talented, and I hope he scores as many goals as I did."

On De Jong, Koeman praised the midfielder’s contributions, saying, "He’s a great player and has regained his best form. I know he loves Barcelona, but I’m not the one to decide his future."
