Juventus director Giuntoli on Thiago Motta: 'I'm ashamed I chose you!'
Italian press continues to share new details about head coach Thiago Motta's departure from Juventus. Numerous sources report that the decision has already been made, and Sportitalia director Alfredo Pedulla stated earlier today that Juventus has informed Motta of his dismissal.
The relationship between Motta and the Juventus management has deteriorated so much over the past week that team director Cristiano Giuntoli told the coach during their last meeting: "I'm ashamed I chose you!" This may have been an attempt to push Motta into resignation to save money on severance pay.
Currently, Motta is in Portugal, spending time with his family during the international break. It is expected that he will be replaced by Igor Tudor at Juventus later this evening.
