PSG receive €13.5 million bonus from UEFA
PSG have secured a spot in the Champions League quarter-finals, where they will face Aston Villa in April.
This achievement brings the Parisian club significant sporting and financial success, with the Champions League being the most lucrative interclub competition. UEFA handsomely rewards its participants, and PSG’s strong showing has already netted them a substantial sum - though the final total won’t be confirmed until the season wraps up with the final in Munich on May 31.
UEFA disburses stage-by-stage bonuses during the tournament. As such, PSG - along with Lille, who were knocked out by Dortmund - recently received a portion of the revenue tied to their campaigns.
PSG pocketed €13.5 million for reaching the quarter-finals and navigating the playoffs. Lille, having earned a bonus for qualifying for the round of 16 via the initial top eight, collected €12.5 million for their participation at that stage.
Thanks to their Champions League run, PSG have already locked in at least €104.5 million, including result-based bonuses and TV rights revenue.
This figure will be boosted further by significant ticket sales, with the club having already hosted - or set to host - at least seven home matches this season, including their quarter-final first leg.
