'Look at Modric and Cristiano': Pepe on people focusing too much on a player's age

Former Real Madrid defender Pepe played the game until the age of 41 and was recently asked whether people sometimes focus too much on a player's age.
He cited Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric as examples, other than himself, of players excelling even way beyond their primes.
"There are exceptions," said Pepe with a smile. "Look at the two of them.
"Modric is at an incredible level, with all the pressure at Madrid. The club also helps a lot and the coach is very important.
"And Cristiano, who has given so much to football, continues at a high level as well."
