Carlo Ancelotti keen to stay at Real Madrid - COPE

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti is eager to remain with the club, according to COPE journalist Miguel Angel Diaz on Twitter.

Sources indicate the Italian is determined to continue his tenure. Only if sacked would he consider an offer to manage the Brazil national team. Previous reports suggested he might leave after the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona.

Ancelotti’s contract with Real Madrid runs until June 2026. There were rumors that Bayer Leverkusen’s Xabi Alonso could replace him.

Since returning to Real in 2021, Ancelotti has won 11 trophies, including two La Liga titles and two Champions Leagues.

With seven rounds left, Real are second in La Liga, trailing leaders Barcelona by four points.

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) are keen for Ancelotti to take charge of their national team, potentially before the La Liga season ends. Prominent Brazilian businessman Diego Fernandez, though not officially linked to the CBF, is in close contact with the coach and is pushing to finalize a deal.
