Feyenoord ready to sell Hancko and Paixao, aim to extend Timber’s contract
Feyenoord have stirred attention with their Champions League campaign, defeating AC Milan but falling to Inter. However, their Eredivisie season has been less convincing, with PSV leading and Ajax close to the title.
To secure financial stability, Feyenoord are open to selling key players. Slovakian centre-back David Hancko, linked with Tottenham, Liverpool, and Juventus, could fetch €30million-35 million, with his contract running until 2028. Brazilian winger Igor Paixao, who notched 14 goals and 17 assists in 42 games, has drawn interest from Arsenal, Atalanta, Napoli, and Roma, with a €35million-40 million price tag.
Meanwhile, captain Quinten Timber, sidelined by a knee injury, may extend his contract to avoid leaving as a free agent in 2026. General manager Dennis te Kloese emphasised Timber’s potential, noting ongoing talks to keep the 23-year-old midfielder, whose value could rise with recovery.
