Kyle Walker set for permanent move to AC Milan in bargain deal

All signs point towards Kyle Walker leaving Manchester City and joining AC Milan permanently this summer.

According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan have decided to purchase Walker permanently after being impressed with his performances during his loan spell.

The Serie A heavyweights are convinced about making the move permanent, and Gazzetta claims that Walker will be a part of the Milan roster next season.

City included a €5 million buy option in his loan deal, which expires next year, making it a potential bargain deal for Milan.

This move would not be a surprise, given that Manchester City are reportedly set to replace Walker with a new right-back this summer.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed last week that the Cityzens will be signing a new right-back, paving the way for Walker's departure.

Meanwhile, Milan may also be looking to make some changes to their own squad, with club captain Theo Hernandez potentially up for grabs this summer.

Despite having a contract until 2026, Hernandez has yet to sign a renewal, and Milan are reportedly ready to listen to offers for the talented left-back.

Walker is currently recovering from a fractured elbow, which he underwent surgery for earlier this month.

Although no official timeline has been set for his recovery, he is expected to make a return before the end of the season.
