Paulo Fonseca ahead Lyon v Man United clash: 'This will be the best Manchester United of the season'
6
Lyon head coach Paulo Fonseca has warned his side that Manchester United are poised to deliver their finest performance of the season in Thursday’s Europa League quarter-final second leg. After a 2-2 draw in the first leg, Fonseca anticipates United will be at their peak, buoyed by the Old Trafford atmosphere, despite their inconsistent campaign.
"This will be the best Manchester United of the season because it’s a defining match for them," Fonseca said.
"Their season might be on the line tomorrow. They’ve struggled in the league, but they’ve done many good things in Europe. We must prepare for the strongest United. Playing at Old Trafford is an advantage for them, but a privilege for us," Fonseca told BBC.
