Real Madrid reportedly evaluate future of Paz, Gila, and Jimenez as they plan for next season
While Real Madrid work through key contract decisions, the club are also evaluating the future of several young talents—both from within the academy and those out on loan, according to Marca. No formal meetings have been held at Valdebebas in recent days, despite some reports, but internally, the process of analysing options for next season is already underway.
Much of the attention has turned to players under Madrid’s control outside of the club—either on loan or sold with buy-back clauses. Simultaneously, the performances of current youth players like Valde, Diego Aguado, Chema, Jacobo and Gonzalo are being closely monitored.
Among the most talked-about prospects are three who are currently playing in Serie A. Lazio's Mario Gila is being followed, with Madrid retaining the right to match any offer if Lazio decide to sell him. Alex Jimenez, currently at Milan, has already played more than 20 matches for the first team, and his contract includes a buy-back clause that the Spanish club are considering activating.
Then there’s Nico Paz of Como, one of the brightest young talents still under Madrid's control, whose development is seen as vital for the future of the midfield. The club are seriously assessing whether he’s ready for a return to the first team.
When it comes to building the squad for next season, Real Madrid must also take into account UEFA regulations regarding homegrown players. Several of those currently out on loan or within the academy are making strong cases to be integrated into the senior squad. The club are weighing their options carefully, aware that promoting talent from within could be essential for both squad balance and registration quotas.
